About Capital Securitisation
Traditionally, securitisation is a process whereby a large number of quality loans of the same class are pooled in a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) (eg. Mortgages and credit cards). From the SPV various types of debt securities from AAA to non-rated equity are issued to pay for the purchase or origination of the loans. Securitisation has developed into many variations on the traditional theme and asset classes as the global market has matured.
CSL is a servicer and manager of traditional loan asset pools and the securitisation process in multiple asset classes.
