Our 6 months Private Mortgage can be a first registered mortgage or a second registered mortgage. Traditionally a 6 months private mortgage would be a second mortgage and would traditionally be used for short term needs. The most common loan purposes we have seen are :
to complete renovation or construction on a property in cases where the bank has declined to provide further funds;
to provide business cash flow pending a larger consignment or pre-purchase
to access equity in cases where it would not be feasible to break a first mortgage i.e. fixed rate loan
